The Greatest Day and a Half in Gaming! DUNGEON CON 2

DungeonCon II was an absolute BLAST! What a fantastic weekend filled with hard work, plenty of laughs, and the best kind of people. I spent the weekend catching up with old friends, finally meeting online one, making new connections, spending too much money...oh, and playing some games, too!

THURSDAY
The fun started immediately after work in Indy with a two-hour drive north to Fort Wayne. After checking in, I found my buddy Grape Ape holding court with several other GG celebs. We spent the evening eating, drinking, and talking about old games, making new friends, and the world at large. A perfect, easy start to the weekend. Judge James and I were the last to leave after some great late-night conversations.

FRIDAY
A bright and early start! I helped Grape Ape and Weird Uncle Brendan open the warehouse and get everything staged. I volunteered for the day (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and I still managed to get some shopping in.

And shop I did! Between the freebie palette, the 50% off table, the Library, Archives, and the back warehouse, I filled some major holes in my collection and even snagged a grail item or two. Check out The Collector's Alphabet to see the full haul!

By 3:00 PM, I was back to work for the Auction! I pulled double duty as "Vanna White" and the accountant. It was an incredible experience watching items like a fully signed Gongfarmer’s Almanac 2025 and a 2022 Road Crew Belt Buckle go for BIG BUCKS—all for a good cause. We capped the night with an amazing home game with close friends.

SATURDAY
Saturday was a whirlwind (and maybe a little bit of a struggle after too much rum the night before). I ran Goodman Games Organized Play Parts 1 and 2. The adventures were top-notch, definitely a step up in organization from last year.

My first official DC2 game as a player was Horror Cinema Classics, judged by Mark himself! I am totally in love with this system. It felt exactly like my life in high school: schlocky B-horror flicks on VHS where you do all the stupid things you aren't supposed to do. Director Mark was fantastic—it was a joy to finally get to his table! (Now hurry up and finish that Kickstarter!)

SUNDAY
My second game was Chaos at the Mast by Gaming Honors. It was a fast-paced, "yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum" pirate adventure. We saved the day and sailed off into the sunset!

THE VENDOR HALL
The hall was perfectly curated, a great mix of established creators and new faces. My wallet actually thanked me for once because I already owned half the stuff for sale! It was great seeing the Dirty Woods crew and their incredible boxes, along with indie creators like Lou, Stefan, Andy, Stephen, Marz, MC Funk, and Wayward Studios. I also discovered Duck and Crow; we talked for a while, and I walked away with one of their settings.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS
DungeonCon II was my favorite con in the last two years. It had everything an RPG fan could want. Because we’re all fans of the Goodman Games ecosystem, the "vibe" is unmatched, and the people are all high-quality. The level of play around every table was unmatched by any Con I've attended! I left feeling totally recharged and "full."

I’m already riding this wave until the next one. Seriously, I cannot wait for DungeonCon III. It’s going to be EPIC!
